FabFems are women from a broad range of professions in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). They are passionate, collaborative, and work to make the world a better place. Many girls have similar interests but aren't connected to adults who exemplify the STEM career pathway.

The Role Models Matter Online Training Toolkit dwill help you develop  skills to engage girls and underrepresented youth in STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) through readings, videos, questions, and more. Role models play a vital role in getting youth excited about careers in STEM. 

STEM professionals are in positions to make real differences in girls’ lives by becoming role models. By simply hosting field trips to their work sites, visiting classrooms, or working with after-school programs or summer camps, they can encourage youth in their communities to explore STEM. SciGirls Role Model Strategies: Encouraging Girls to Consider STEM Careers offers basic training for role models, introducing them to best practices for their volunteer efforts.
